Sometimes I’ll only ever make one or two of something because I’ll figure out that while the idea is cute I actually hate making it. These daily pill bottles in progress are one such thing. There will only ever be two sets of these. I’ll see these through but there won’t be more.

And it’s not because they’re tedious. I make lots of tedious things. They just don’t make my heart sing, for no apparent reason.

So, cute idea. Not for me. AKA just because I can doesn’t mean I want to.

Back in the day, I used to loooooove Victoria magazine, browsing all the swoony romantic pictures of lace, florals and chintz. The lure of that pretty, swishy, sun dappled aesthetic is strong yet again. It feels slow, sweet and focussed on the little details of life. And don’t we all need more of that!

Created to brighten the window of @dandylinespg — the beloved shoppe that’s been blooming in our town for more than 30 years.

I’ve had the pleasure of creating window displays for them over the years, and it’s always an honour. This giant crepe paper peony now keeps company with the beautiful things inside.

Swipe through for a closer look — each petal cut, curled, and coaxed to life from rolls and rolls of @cartotecnicarossi paper, producers of fine Italian crepe since 1878.

This Friday and Saturday feel extra special: fresh market bundles of peonies from @tokenfloral (it’s like we planned it 😉), plus a little sale in the shoppe too. Not that you need an excuse — it’s always worth a visit. But you already knew that.
